Autonomie Lite
Autonomie Lite – Backward-looking models
Forward-looking vehicle system simulation tools, such as Autonomie, are extensively used by engineers to quantify the impact of advanced vehicle technologies and control on energy consumption, performance and cost.
Under some circumstances, backward-looking models are a perfect complement to provide initial component sizing, quantify technology trends… Those simplified models, now referred to as Autonomie Lite, have been developed based on market analysis and collected vehicle technical characteristics.
Why Autonomie Lite?
- Simple: predefined-cycles, few parameters…
- Computational efficient
- Large number of predefined applications and powertrains
Autonomie Lite Off-Road
Autonomie Lite Off-Road is a backward-looking vehicle simulator tool designed to predict energy consumption of off-road mobile equipment. The model includes advanced powertrains (xEVs), component technologies across multiple applications.
Example of usage:
- Powertrain sizing (e.g., battery capacity, hydrogen storage…) to meet the same vehicle technical specifications as the current vehicles
- Energy consumption on pre-defined driving cycles
- Vehicle manufacturing cost
